Thoughts on Goal Setting for the New Year

People always ask me things like “what is the secret to being successful in network marketing and what can I do to ensure my success”, so I want to share with you EXACTLY what I do on a step by step basis every year, because every year I start things with exactly the same routine. I am going to share with you an outline of everything I do in the first weeks of the new year, and as the process is a bit lengthy to explain you might want to take some notes so you can remember everything. This is not only what has worked in networking but in everything I do in my life, and it consists of things taught me by very successful people
A new year signals a new start, a time where each year I start by looking back at what I had set as my goals last year, and how many of those goals I reached, and I also look closely at the goals I didn’t reach and look to understand WHY I didn’t reach those goals. What were the creative avoidance techniques I used that got in the way, and how much I really wanted those goals.
I also look closely at whether those goals were in alignment with my overall purpose in life, as often I find that some of my goals were not really in total alignment with my purpose, but were rather selfish rather than selfless.
Then I spend time in deep gratitude. I thank my creator for all that I have and all that was given to me during that year and the rest of my life. I truly acknowledge what a gift all these things are and I feel deeply this gratitude in my heart. I ALWAYS spend time in gratitude before I set my goals for the new year.
Then I segment my life into different areas that are important to me; my spiritual life, my family life, my health, my businesses, etc., and I map out goals in each of those areas. I would like to focus here on my business goals with Stem Tech, as we all have this business in common.
The first thing I do is establish my current reality. I write down exactly how many people are in my business, how much volume I have, both personally and collectively, and how much I am earning. Then I draw out a diagram of my team, and I place the names of all those I consider leaders in those legs. It is important to realize that current reality is WHERE you are and not WHO you are.
I then decide where I would like to be one year from now. I write down how many people I would like to have, how many legs, how much monthly volume, and how much income. I usually do this on four different sheets. Then I look closely at every aspect of my business, and not only what I need to do but what do I need others to do. Let’s say that I have one leg that has five people in it. I will call the leader that I have sponsored in that leg and ask them about there goals for the year, and see if they are in alignment with my own, because I want to build as a team. I want to know what they will expect of me for the year from me, how much time they will want, how many three ways, how any meetings, etc. I also want to know what their level of commitment is, and if their financial goals are in line with mine, and I adjust accordingly. If I know that I have five people who want to build an income of $2000 a month, and what speed they would like to move at to accomplish this, it really helps me to set my goals in a reasonable manner.
If my goal is to earn 10,000 a month by the end the year, I want to know as exactly as possible who are the people who will move with me towards such a goal, because I know that I can not do this by myself. This is why I like to look for quality people to be on my first level in this business. If I want to have an income of 10,000 a month I will plan it out to see how that will happen. How much will be from autoship, how much from FastStarts, how much from the step-up generational program.
Let’s say I want to have 10,000 just from autoship bonuses. That means I must have around 3500 bottles of product on autoship within my seven levels. 3500 bottles times 2.80 is 9800 dollars. So I want to know what each leg is going to supply towards my goal. If I have five strong legs that means that each leg is going to have to do about 700 bottles a month. Do you see how as soon as you break down big numers into a plan it immediately becomes more feasible. For one leg to do 700 bottles a month I figure that means around 500 people because many people will order more than one bottle.
So 500 people breaks down to about 40 people a month added to a team every month for 12 months. There are quite a few people who already have 40 people on their team in the pre-launch period. I will call the leader of my legs and see who is committed to this kind of growth. Everyone who has said yes to $2000 a month as their goal will have close to this amount of people and autoship in their group, so my focus will be in helping them reach their goals. You only earn a percentage of what you help others earn, so the key to creating abundance in this business is HELPING OTHERS.
Let’s say someone is just starting and they have only five people in their group. I make a plan with them and ask them to ask their five people what they are willing to commit to. If each one brings only 1 person every month, that means at the end of the month they will have 12 people ( the leader and the 5 people each get one which means 6 and they started as 6, so that makes 12) .
In the next month, with each of the 12 getting 1, there are now 24 people on the team.
Month 3 will be 48 people
Month 4 will be 96
Month 5 will be 192
Month 6 will be 384
Month 7 will be 768 and your goal will be reached
This many people could easily mean 1000 bottles of autoship and an income of around $3000 a month. I love network marketing because it shows how people can work part time and replace a monthly income from a five days a week job in a reasonable amount of time.
One very important thing to realize here is that we are not even considering the people who will show up as customers only here, This is just business builders. As we teach and train you all, and expose customer acquisition programs you will see even easier and faster growth. Imagine what will happen when you have 700 business builders just adding one to two customers a month on autoship. The potential is awesome
Let’s review that. First, if you only invite people to your team that commit to ONE PERSON A MONTH, you will easily reach your goal. Even if half your people do not do this, you will find other people that will do more, but if you have a program of accountability with your team, and replace those that do not perform, you can achieve these kind of results if you are persistent and consistent with your efforts. It takes a very small amount of effort to sponsor one person in a month. Many people do that every week.
So ask yourself this. How long will it take you to find five people willing to work part time, promoting one of the finest products in the world, and commit to sponsoring one person a month. Many will say they want to do it in every week, and when this happens you will reach the same goal in a much faster time.

It is not hard to find five people who want to earn a few thousand dollars a month extra while working part time from their home. You will find the five people who will commit to getting five people. You will, by doing small consistent actions on a daily basis, create predictable, sustainable, long-term residual income. You must start by believing in the process and in yourself and doing the small things in a great way. Choose actions that are designed to enrich and empower others, the whole basis of the evaluation process and in choosing who you are going to talk to.
Know the reasons you would like to commit a few hours every week to work with people you respect, Learn the reasons you want to be a part of this adventure and what would be the benefits for the person you are inviting to share the experience with. Identify the benefits for them.
You can decide this year, right now, to take charge of your financial life in a positive way. By this time next year you can have a whole new life. I believe that with the help of our creator we can change our life in an instant. If we choose actions in alignment with divine principle, we can achieve a lot more. If we measure our life in how much service we give and not by how much many we make, we will become bigger people and thus be able to contain a bigger business. This product and this business helps people in amny ways. You are offering a great gift to people when you offer this product and the potential of the business, so choose people you know are looking for something like this.
Every person has the potential of growth. Sometimes it just takes someone to reach out to them and invite them to a team experience such as ours, just like the person who reached out to you. With the necessary effort you can learn the skills to develop this business. You can do what you desire to do and become who you desire to be. The same divine power which is within you is also within everything that surrounds you, and when you work in harmony with this power and move forward with commitment to service to others, then things will arrange themselves for your advantage. We were created for growth and all external things are promoted to assist in this growth.
It is not the tools that make one great,it is how one uses those tools. Whether it is the product, the website, a presentation or help from others, what will make you great is your desire to achieve that greatness and your will power to stay on track. Our knowledge is relatively small next to divine knowledge, so if you want to be great I believe you have to connect with a power greater than ourselves, and then draw from it. It is important to want to do always the right thing, so that you stay in alignment with divine will. Don’t drag people into the business when the benefits are more for you than them. Bring people who feel in their hearts that this is right for them. This way you are never selling. You are sharing and inviting, and using the right means to achieve your goals.
It is important to not worry. Overcome anxiety, worry and fear by focusing on positive thoughts. The divine power within you is also able to to supply all your material needs. Never stop being grateful for what you are given. This will create a larger space within you so that you may receive more, and the way to receive more is to give more. Work more with your people, help them more, give to them more, support them more, help them to learn more.Treat their hearts the same way you would like to be treated. Stop all action that is not from a noble place and commit to be in service.
I think that one of the common traits of greatness is faith. People who develop greatness have a lot of faith, not only in themselves but in others and in the potential of others to be great. I believe in everyone I invite into this business that they can use this platform to develop their dreams by helping others.
So I encourage you to use this time to outline your goals, develop the vision of what you would like to with the coming year and who you would like to be, not only in your business but in the other areas of your life as well. What are your health objectives, what are your family goals, what are your goals in all the areas of your life that matter to you. Then break down those goals and create teams of accountability and set deadlines for the attainment of the things that matter to you.
Finally, what I do when all this is done is I write a little story for myself. I write down what is going to happen next January first and what am I going to feel like.Where am I going to wake up, what is it going to feel, smell, and look like. Who will I be with, what will my financial picture look like and what will I be doing with the money. How will my body feel, and how will my heart and spirit feel. I invite you all to do the same.
